About The CCDA
The Crawford County Development Association is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization here to strengthen the communities of Crawford County, Illinois, by encouraging local leadership, community development, and economic opportunity.
We currently administer a community development grant designed to encourage entrepreneurship and job growth amongst local business and industry, and as part of our broader objective to increase the viability of new local businesses we offer free counseling to business start-ups.
Our organization also runs an annual yearlong leadership institute for fifteen local professionals called Leadership Crawford County and partners with Lincoln Trail College to promote a better, more employable local workforce.
In short, the CCDA sits at the intersection of commerce, industry, charity and government and works with all these groups to promote a higher quality of life for the people of Crawford County.
Our Vision
The CCDA offers a variety of services designed to help businesses succeed in their endeavors while also improving the quality of life of residents in the area. Through its community-building initiatives, it has made great strides towards unifying citizens and encouraging involvement through events like fundraisers, festivals, job fairs and more. Additionally, its economic development efforts are designed to solicit investments from outside sources that can boost local industry and create opportunities for employment.
